2010 Scholarship Winner Announced

I would like to congratulate Kyle Ferguson of West Jefferson on being selected to receive the 2010 Annual Fish & Game Scholarship. Kyle played football and baseball for the Rough Riders. He earned several honors on and off the field while being in the top 20 academically. Kyle reflects the attitude of the Madison County Fish and Game Association in that he is always willing to give 100% to get the job done right.

Kyle plans on playing football at Urbana University while studying education. He hopes to someday make coaching a career. I’m sure he’ll make all of his players into winners, too.

Congratulations Kyle.

Sunday June 13 Chesser Memorial Results Posted

Sunday June 13 brought warm temperatures and muggy conditions for the Chesser Memorial. The competition Sunday was just as heated. It took one over time frame for Tom Cecil to outlast Dwayne Maddux by the narrow margin of 24 to 23.

Two huge six foot Subway subs and a full sheet cake were provided by Fred and Debbie Gilliam.

Madison County Fish and Game would like to thank everyone that attended and helped with making the 2010 Chesser Memorial shoot a great success.
