Purchase Raffle Tickets for a Ton of Shot

Madison County Fish and Game will be selling raffle tickets for a ton of shot. Tickets are $5 each. Drawing is Friday evening before the shoot-off June 8th at the Cardinal Center.

Fred Gilliam 2011 Club Champion

The Madison County Fish and Game Club Championship held Saturday, October 1st, 2011, saw three shooters, Fred Gilliam, Dave Coverdale and Tom Wilson all break 46 in the program. In overtime Fred Gilliam prevailed to become the 2011 Madison County Club Champion.

Congratulations Fred.

Ken Berger 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee

Ken Berger 2011 Ohio State Trapshooting Hall Of Fame Inductee

 

Kenneth Burger inducted into the 2011 Ohio State Trapshooting Hall of Fame.

 

In 1951, Ken shot his first trap targets at the Remington Club in Stratford, Connecticut. Two years later, he began registered shooting. He went to work for Remington Arms in New York in 1961 and two years later, he came to Ohio as a Remington Field Representative. In August of 1969, Ken entered the manufacturer’s representative business for an independent firm, which eventually led him to open his own firm 20 years later. Ken retired in 2005 after spending over 55 years in the business of shooting sports. During that time, he attended 46 Grand Americans and worked at the Grand American for several different companies. Ken earned a place on several of the Southwest Zone Teams. He has been on numerous All-Ohio Teams in the Men’s, Veteran and Senior Veteran categories. He is the Captain of this year’s All-Ohio Senior Veteran Team. Ken was also on 4 Industry All-American Teams. Not Only has Ken had a remarkable shooting career, winning numerous trophies across the Midwest and at the Grand American…he has been a great ambassador for our sport as well.

June 10th Steak Fry

Madison County Fish and Game will be having a steak fry Friday, June 10, 2011. Happy hour 6:00pm, dinner served at 7:00pm.

This years scholarship winner for 2011 is Benjamin Graber from Jonathan Alder. Benjamin will be presented his first check at the cookout.

Wild Game Dinner February 18, 2011

Madison County Fish and Game will be hosting a wild game dinner Friday, February 18th, 2011. Doors open at 6:00pm for happy hour and dinner will be served at 7:00pm. Guests, feel free to bring your favorite wild game specialties or simply a pie or dessert.

Remember the place to be is MCF&G the 18th.

Madison County Fish And Game Annual Sporting Clays Outing

Madison County Fish and Game had their annual sporting clays outing Saturday December 11, 2010.

The top three sores:

  • Butch Willard  72
  • Corey Clemans  69
  • Ken Berger  68

Also a huge congratulations goes out to Ken Berger on making the 2011 Senior vet all Ohio team as Captain with a composite average of 92.83%.

Starts Tuesday December 7th runs through Tuesday March 29th.

4pm -10pm

50 Bird Program – 25 singles & 25 Handicap

First 4 weeks shoot for average, then teams are formed from the averages.

Trophies for top team & runner up team.

Trophy for high gun.

League prizes and end of year banquet.

$12 targets & league fees

$3 optional Jackpot & Lewis Class. All monies from Jackpot & Lewis Class are returned to the shooters.
